A Free Web Directory (AFWD), was started by a webmaster for other webmasters. Our web directory differs from most in a few areas. We feel most web directories, free or paid, often rely on adding as many links as possible and that's it. That's great, but what happens if you signed up after many others. Do you really think that being on page 12 helps get free traffic? I know what you're thinking: "I need free backlinks for my website" and we understand, but this is where we differ.
Often out of neccasity comes innovation. Our online directory attempts to help webmasters by completely randomizing our directory listing index. Gone are the days where you're never on page one without paying money or being the first to signup. Our approach to this directory is to allow everyone, big or small, to have the same chance of being on page 1 in position 1 as the next guy. After all, our goal is to give you free traffic and backlinks.
Another great advantage of AFWD is that all submissions are manually reviewed to ensure that only human-operated sites are added. We do not want to fill our directories with useless spam infested adsites. Instead, we want to fill it with new and experienced webmasters websites alike. Did I mention we are a free web directory? Not only are we totally free but we do not allow paid advertising, which is another downfall to most other online directories. Should you by some miracle get to a top page you won't ever be in the top spot because someone has paid for it.
